Ed James is Senior Vice President of Moody Rambin Retail Properties, a Partner in the parent company and a member of the Executive Committee of Moody Rambin Interests. With more than 18 years of experience in retail real estate, Ed is responsible for activities in project leasing and development, tenant representation and development services, primarily in Texas and the contiguous states.
Ed is currently overseeing the national tenant leasing of the Towne Center at Cedar Lodge lifestyle center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The 300,000+ SF project boasts such tenant as Whole Foods, Talbots (Petites & Women), Clodwater Creek, Chico´s, White House / Black Market, Ann Taylor Loft, Gap, Gap Kids and Baby Gap and specialty restaurants like PF Chang´s, Flemings, Carrabbas and Bonefish Grille.
Past projects include the highly acclaimed lifestyle center, Town & Country Village (411,000 square feet with Barnes & Noble, Gap, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and Talbot´s, among others), Silverlake Village (Super Target, Kohl´s, Ross, Marshall´s, Circuit City, PETsMART, Pier 1 and many others), The Shops at Riverstone (Kohl´s, Office Depot, Ross, Bed, Bath and Beyond, PETsMART and others) and Gulfgate Court (200,000 square feet with Home Depot, Office Depot, Conn´s and Boot Town).
Current tenant representation assignments include work for PETsMART, Circuit City, Whataburger, Inc. (corporate and franchise locations) and Luther´s Bar-B-Q, Inc. Past clients include 99 Cents Only Stores, Brinker International, The Sports Authority, Conn´s Appliance, J.C. Penney Co., Office Depot and TGI Friday´s.
Through Moody Rambin´s Development Division, Ed provides development services for clients with various needs, including build-to-suit assignments, demographic analysis for acquisition and development of sites, disposition of completed assignments and strategic relocations. The successful sale of net-leased income properties has also been achieved for selected clients.
Ed is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designee and the past Texas Chairman for the International Council of Shopping Centers, an industry trade group.
